His broad practice spans business law, education law, property disputes, employment matters, family law, and estate planning — providing clients with comprehensive legal solutions under one roof.

Fred advises non-profits, public schools, and businesses on administrative law, employment and HR compliance, property disputes, regulatory matters, and more. In his family law and estate planning practice, Fred guides individuals and families through sensitive personal matters, including divorce, custody, protective orders, wills, trusts, and powers of attorney. His thoughtful, results-oriented approach helps clients make sound decisions that safeguard their future.

Fred also brings extensive experience in education law, successfully representing both families and schools in special education disputes, 504 complaints, Title IX investigations, and student discipline matters. His ability to analyze issues early and resolve conflicts efficiently has saved clients significant time, expense, and stress.
Prior to joining FCB, Fred served as an Administrative Hearing Officer for the Utah State Board of Education and as General Counsel and Superintendent for DaVinci Academy, advising on legal, operational, and policy matters during a period of significant growth.

Fred earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law, where he was Managing Editor of the Corporate Counsel Review. He also holds a Master’s in Education from the University of Houston and a B.A. in History and Spanish from the University of Utah.

When not practicing law, Fred enjoys time with his family, golfing, hiking, and traveling.
