Marci L. Matonis, Attorney
Marci L. Matonis is a native Floridian. She graduated from the University of Central Florida where she earned her degree in Psychology. She later attended Stetson Law School and became a member of the Florida Bar in 2000. Marci began her legal career in child advocacy representing the State of Florida in dependency and termination of parental rights cases. Marci was later awarded two contracts with the Ninth Judicial Circuit: appellate representation for parents whose rights had been terminated; and the Attorney ad Litem contract. One of Marci’s proudest achievements as an AAL was obtaining citizenship for a teenager who was orphaned not long after moving to the United States. After a dozen years in child advocacy, Marci ventured into insurance defense litigation, namely, Personal Injury Protection litigation and general liability, where Marci represented major insurance carriers in automobile and premises liability matters. Marci and her family relocated to Utah in 2016 after discovering the fabulous seasons and family friendly environment Utah offers. Marci brings two decades of diverse litigation experience to assist her clients in tackling any domestic challenge.
